Christ Gives Us Victory
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57
Jesus lived as a man, and he knows all about our weaknesses and struggles; and He is now at the right hand of God interceding for us. He is your priest who is going to the Father on your behalf. Listen to what is said about him. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but was in all points tempted, yet without sin. (Hebrews. 4:15) Christ knows what tempts us every day, and that is why you can come boldly to the throne of God.
With all our weaknesses and struggles He tells us to come boldly to his throne for forgiveness, and ask for the Lord’s power to overcome sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews4:16) You can come boldly because Christ experienced all of your struggles and took them to the cross.
Jesus accomplished on the cross for us, so we have forgiveness and live with victory over sin. that gives you the victory. Come to Jesus for he is your throne of grace and you will see your struggles melt away. Believe it is his joy when you come to receive from him.
Today: When tempted by Satan call on Christ for victory. In our own strength we cannot always overcome sin, but Christ has total power over Satan and he will give us victory over Satan
Prayer: Lord, remember we can have victory when we call on Christ and we memorize scriptures that make Satan flee.
