Christ Gives Us Life to the Full
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:4
We are created in the image of God and a fulfilling life is when Christ is our life. We are connected to Christ through the Holy Spirit. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) Through the Spirit, we are connected to Christ and this connection enables Christ to be our life.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (Psalm 34:8) The blessing we receive from being close to the Lord motivates us to serve him with all our heart and strength, because having a loving relationship with the Lord is the greatest relationship we can have.
When Christ is our life, he becomes all fulfilling and we live to serve him, because we have the mind of Christ and the heart of Christ and serving him brings us closer to him. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) When Christ is our life then our life is full, meaning things of the world become less important in comparison, except for people who become more important. Nothing on earth is more fulfilling than Christ our Lord.
Today: Fill your heart with his love by reflecting his love to others. The more love you reflect, the more love you receive from Christ because love brings you closer to him.
Prayer: Lord, help me to draw close to you with my heart filled with your love and guide me to reflect your love to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen
