You are Lovingly Created

Posted on

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

Jeremiah 31:3

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5).  The Lord loves us and knows us before we are born and has a divine plan for our lives that ends with our reward with him in heaven. Due to the fallen state of the world we often get detoured from God’s plan, but God still faithfully calls us. If we realize that God loves us perfectly, wants to guide us through life, and give us life to the full, then we can be motivated to walk with the Lord.

We all need to know that God loves us perfectly and wants us to walk in his love.  No matter how un-loving your life has been, you can be sure that God loves you perfectly.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).

Know and believe the truth: God loves you and wants to bless you. God’s infinite love means that he is perfectly faithful.  Every promise in scripture will absolutely come true, therefore we can trust the Lord completely. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9). In addition to his infinite love the Lord has infinite wisdom; therefore he blesses us beyond our imaginations if we trust him and have patience. The Lord knows us better than we know ourselves and he gives us what we need to make us more Christ-like.  Our lives are optimized as we become more Christ-like; this is the life we were created to live because we were created in the image of God.  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27).

Today realize that you are created in the image of God and that he loves you perfectly just the way you are. He wants to bless you and give you life to the full. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10). The Lord so desires for you to be with him in heaven that he sent his only Son to the cross to die for our sins.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:3).  The Lord loves you so much that he will come back and take you home.

Let’s Pray:  Lord thank you for your perfect love for me. Let your love fill my heart so that I can reflect it to others and demonstrate a faith that is continually strengthened by your love. Thank you for being with me through the Holy Spirit and for guiding me through life.  In Jesus name, Amen.
