You are in God’s Family
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are
1 John 3:1
We are God’s eternal family and we have a perfect Father and everything is possible for Him. We have perfect love and security from our perfect Father. He guides us through life into our eternal home to be with him forever. We are blessed to be in his family and to live in victory in Christ.
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) The Lord forgives us of our sins and he protects from the evil one. We have the power to overcome Satan’s temptations, although we sometimes fail we can seek forgiveness. We are separated from our sins by Christ’s forgiveness, and he intercedes for us to the Father presenting us as perfect.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28) Christ protects us from the evil one, no one will snatch us out of the Father’s hand, and we have power over Satan. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) Through the Holy Spirit giving us a connection to Christ, we have power over Satan when we call upon the Lord. God has given everything we need to overcome the world of Sin and Heaven is our home. The only thing that we have to guard against is our sinful will, and this is where we need a church family to guard our heart.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13) Everyone in God’s family has the power from Christ to overcome Satan’s temptations and even if we fail we have a repentant heart that asks for forgiveness and the Lord’s power to overcome. Jesus took our sins to the cross and we are thankful for being in his family and having forgiveness because we can never be perfect living in this flesh.
Today, realize you are living in God’s family and no one can snatch you out of his hands. Reflect the joy from being in the Lord’s family, his Kingdom, and that Heaven is your home.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for Christ you made it possible for me to be in your eternal family. There is no greater bless in all creation. In Jesus’ name, Amen
