You are a Spiritual Person
As the body without the spirit is dead,
James 2:26
We are spiritual people because life is in our spirit, and without the spirit the flesh is dead. We will never have lasting contentment unless we are content in our spirit, there is nothing in the world that will give us lasting contentment because everything in the world only brings temporary contentment to our temporary flesh.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) Most people in this world live to satisfy their temporary flesh instead of satisfying their eternal spirit. They settle for temporary pleasure instead of lasting divine pleasure from God that continuously feeds our soul. The closer we are to the Lord the more powerful the blessings that feed our soul, and they are more fulfilling than anything in the world. Only God our creator knows how to make us always content and never bored.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. (Philippians 4:11-12) The apostle Paul was close to the Lord and the Lord feed his soul with contentment that was more powerful than any situation he encountered in the world; and the Lord will do the same for us.
We are spiritual people and our spirit is our thoughts, personality, and will; and most people live to satisfy their flesh when true satisfaction only comes when their spirit is satisfied and content? Only God can make us divinely content, so why chase after the world for temporary contentment? Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand (John 10:28) We will never experience these verses unless our soul is content from the blessings of God.
Many people will never experience the divine blessing that the Lord feeds their spirit. Only God brings lasting contentment, love, peace, joy patience, wisdom, and all the blessings from Heaven into our spirit. These blessings free us from the world and places our soul in the Kingdom, and we minister to the world from the Kingdom. The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:20-21)
Today live to satisfy your soul with the blessings of God, and remember you are spiritual person that lives forever. The flesh can be satisfied when the spirit is satisfied, but the flesh can never satisfy the spirit. Only God can satisfy us, make us content; and take away our boredom.
Prayer: Lord guide me in the Spirit to serve the Lord, and to live for the spirit and not for the flesh. Fill my soul with the blessings of Heaven so I swill top seeking things of the world. In Jesus name, Amen
