Wisdom From the Spirit

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:10-11

Christ guides us in wisdom through the Holy Spirit, which is a great blessing for all Christians. The Lord will guide us through any situation in life, giving us his wisdom and courage. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 2:14) When we minister to lost souls, (people who don’t know Christ and do have the Holy Spirit), we must understand their limitation without the Spirit. For example, we can explain salvation in Christ and validate our words from scripture; as opposed to only reading the Bible to them. We can easily explain one or two verses that will validate our words.

But when the, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) The Spirit will guide us to all truth of the Word, and will also guide us in what the person(s) needs to hear. Christ places thoughts in our minds as we minister to people, especially if we call for his wisdom and listen to our thoughts.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10) If we are still inside, we can detect the thoughts Christ puts into our minds, which are always Godly wisdom. The more we make it a habit to be still inside with our thoughts on things above, the more will hear the Lord in our thoughts and the more we reveal Godly wisdom.

Today be still inside and a follow the Spirit, and walk in Godly wisdom. The more we know the Word, which is the language of God, the more we can walk in the Spirit with Godly wisdom.

Prayer:  Lord help me to hear and follow the Spirit, and walk in Godly wisdom. In Jesus name, Amen
