Who is Our Enemy?

Posted on

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:12

Our enemy is Satan and his demons, who brings evil into this world and deceives people with his lies. As Christians we have God’s unconditional love in our hearts for every person on the planet, and our hatred for sin goes to Satan who have deceived many people.

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. (Matthew 24:4) Satan is a master at deceiving people, especially those who don’t know God’s truth. It is the task of all Christians to bring God’s truth to others, starting with family. God has given everyone a talent to point people to Christ: by speaking to someone, handing literature telling God’s truth and forgiveness, and inviting them to church.  Satan brings lies to people and we bring God’s truth to people.

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:13) When Satan has deceived someone in the church or someone in our family, it brings anger to us, anger against Satan in his evil ways. Every evil thing we hear about in the world, comes from Satan. We pray for lost souls who believe Satan lies, because they don’t God’s truth from the Word.

How tragic it will for lost souls when Christ returns and they then know he truth, but it will be to late. Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen. (Revelations 1:7) How sad it we be for all the lost souls who are mourning in fear, because they didn’t believe the truth of God, and spent their lives living for their fleshly desires.

The number of lost souls in this world shows the power of Satan, but the Lord has given us power over Satan. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) God has given us his power to bring Christ to lost souls. When we serve the Lord, we will remain victorious to our last breath.

Today show love and kindness to everyone, a direct your hate of evil to Satan. Keep doing this until it becomes a habit because God’s love us unconditional, and don’t make it conditional.

Prayer: Let me always know my enemy is Satan and not flesh and blood.  In Jesus name, Amen
