Who do We Depend On?

Posted on

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

Do we share our dependence between self and Christ? What would it be like if we depend on Christ for everything, including life today, Christ being with us, and the Holy Spirit.  We are to always reflect Christ, and we depend on Christ being with us for his guidance. We don’t pick and choose when need Christ, it’s better to always depend on Christ for everything. We walk with a heart of thankfulness, and we pray for guidance from Christ. What if Christ was with you in the flesh at all times, would you ask for his guidance and help?

Trust in God at all times, my people. Tell him all your troubles, for he is our refuge. (Psalm 65:8) We trust God at all times, which means we trust his will over our will. God knows more about the present circumstance, than we know, and he will guide us to reflect Christ in every situation, even when we are alone. He guides us through the Holy Spirit in every thought, word, and action.

When life becomes difficult, we go to the Lord for his guidance, words, and security. Remember all things are possible for God; and we can always depend on the Lord to have the answer in whatever situation we are in.  We can always depend on Christ, because he wants to guide us through life, being a Light in this world, as we travel the narrow road to eternal life.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) Christ is always with us giving us his strength and wisdom, as he guides our thoughts, words and actions. Imagine the blessing of being guided by God through life. Christ knows us, what the day will bring, and he prepares us and will guide us through anything Satan will put in our path. Since Christ is always with us, shouldn’t we always depend on Him?

Today depend on the Lord for everything by praying for guidance, wisdom, and strength. And remember Christ has the answer for every situation we encounter.

Prayer:  Father, help me to always depend on You, to reflect Christ in everything I think, say, and do. In Jesus name, Amen
