We Live in Victory

Posted on

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day, and not only to me but to all who have loved his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7

Satan knows that his time is short and he is eagerly attacking Christ’s people. The persecution of Christians occurs throughout the world, and Satan is busy attacking the United States and the nation of Israel. Looking at the world from a spiritual viewpoint, it is clear that Satan’s goal is to destroy Christ’s church. He does this by feeding people lies and recruiting them to serve his purposes. Satan can influence government leaders to put fear in Christians through oppression and outlawing Christianity. Satan also places his people in the church to introduce false doctrine, to corrupt immature Christians, to ruin the church’s witness to the world, and to persecute and kill Christians.

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 118:6). All Christians live in victory as long as they remain faithful to our Lord and Savior. There is nothing the world can do to us that will cause the Lord to withhold his strength that enables us to endure to reach our heavenly home, the final victory. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell (Matthew 10:28). Satan can kill the body but he cannot kill the soul. Our souls are the essence of who we are; our thoughts, personality, and beliefs. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

Our biggest enemy is not the world, but ourselves. If we entertain any of Satan’s lies or stop following the Holy Spirit then we will live in Satan’s fear instead of God’s love. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21). How can our hearts motivate us to do the will of the father if we stop following the Holy Spirit and choose to live in Satan’s lies and fear? The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). We can fool people, and we can fool ourselves, but we can never fool God because he knows our hearts.

Today know that you live in victory no matter what happens in this world. Remain faithful and be a witness for Christ. Seek out those lost souls who live in Satan’s lies and bring them the truth in love and compassion. Walk without fear but with the attitude of victory in Christ and with a heart of love to help the lost.

Let’s Pray: Lord, fill my heart with your love because your love drives out fear. Give me the strength to serve you today whatever the Spirit calls me to do. Lord I depend on you to live this day for your glory and as an ambassador for Christ. Give me the strength to praise your holy name to my last breath. In Jesus name, Amen
