We Have the Perfect Father

Posted on

But now, O Lord, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.

Isaiah 64:8

All who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, have a perfect Father. We are in his family and he takes care of his children. Because he loves us perfectly and protects our soul from the evil, he will not let anything take us away from being in his family. He loves us more than we can imagine, and he wants us to be with him in Heaven for eternity.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) The Father takes care of our eternal soul and we are confident because all things are possible for the Father. He fills us with the Holy Spirit, guides us through life, forgives our sins, molds us to the image of His Son, and makes Heaven our home.

The Father sent his Son to Earth to live as a man to reveal his heart, love, mercy, and compassion. Jesus took the punishment for our sins and he redeemed us to the Father — this shows the love the Father has for you. We have forgiveness through Christ who intercedes for us to the Father and presents us to the Father as perfect. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Through Christ’s forgiveness, we are separated forever from our sins.

Since we have a Father that loves us perfectly, who can take care of us because all things are possible, who desires to give us the best life possible, and who is waiting to bring us home so we can be with him, how can we not trust the Lord who wants and knows the very best for us? Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust the Lord because he has infinite knowledge and wisdom and guides us in his love.

Today remember you are God’s family and you have a perfect Father. He is interested in every detail of your life and desires to guide you in his love and wisdom to give you life to the full.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for caring for me and for taking me into your family. Help me to convey this blessing to lost souls. In Jesus name, Amen
