We Can Depend on Christ

Posted on

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8

Christ is always available to us through the Holy Spirit, and we can always depend on the Lord guiding us through each day.  If we pick and choose when we need the Lord, we may more become more self-reliant, but if we depend on the Lord for everything, then we will be closer to the Lord. We know God’s plan for us, so we will recognize when Satan is trying to deceive us; like making us depend on self.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:26) We live out of our hearts and we need the Lord’s strength to live in this sinful world, and to represent Christ at all times. The more we depend on Christ, the less we will mentally drift back into the world. We are created in the image of God, and the more we live as created the better our life.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Most non-Christians think if they accept Christ, they have lost their freedom; but that is lie from Satan. We gain freedom from Christ, a divine freedom that is independent of where we live in this world. We are free from the sinful world, and we are spiritually free in the Kingdom within us. The eternal spiritual person we are, can always be free in Christ.

The best life we can possibly live on this planet, is a life that fully depends on Christ with a close loving relationship. Christ loves us more than anyone, he died for our sins, and when we accept Christ the Holy Spirit of God lives in us. We have forgiveness and Christ guides us through life with his love, power, wisdom, and strength. Christ has infinite capabilities so we fully trust his will over our will.  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) We take this verse to heart and live it each day.

Today depend on the Lord to guide you, and to reflect Christ to everyone. Be thankful that Christ is willing to guide you to be light in this world.

Prayer:  Lord let me to always be dependent on Christ for everything, with a truly thankful heart.  In Jesus name, Amen
