We are Victorious

Posted on

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 5:17

All Christians in God’s family are victorious no matter how the world views us or treats us. God protects our souls for eternity to be with him in heaven – this is the final victory. As Satan deceives the world with his lies, we live by the truth and reap eternal life. Remain faithful to the end and don’t let Satan put fear or hate in your heart; hate sin not people.

Christ will return and destroy Satan, his demons, and all those who follow the way of the world by living in their own truths. As Christians we are called to pray and to be lights for Christ in this dark world, because each soul is precious to God and worth more than all the riches in the world. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. (1 Timothy 2: 3-6) God desires that everyone accept Christ and live with him in eternity.

From scripture we know Satan will continue to create more evil in this world, but do not fear: God is sovereign over all creation, rulers, authorities and everything that exists on earth and in the heavens. There is no need to entertain fear from Satan; instead, replace that fear with God’s love. The more we reflect Christ to this world the more victorious we feel. The time is now to separate the sheep from the goats, and everyone needs a chance to hear God’s truth.

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3) This time is here, as many people avoid the truth and gather with those who support their itching ears. We see this more every day; however, many people in the world are turning to Christ. So be a light for Christ and know that you are victorious because you walk with God, and God is always victorious. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

Today walk knowing that you are victorious and have overcome the world. Walk in God’s truth, his power, and love. See every soul through the eyes of God and pray for the opportunity to plant the seed of eternal life through Christ in their hearts.

Let’s Pray: Lord, help me to live in victory knowing that heaven is my home, that you protect my soul, and guide me through this life into Heaven. Take away any fear from Satan, and help me to walk in freedom with peace and confidence in Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
