We are Sinless Before the Father

Posted on

He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through him, because he always lives to make intercession for them

Hebrews 7:25

Christ forgives our sins and presents us to the Father as sinless, only because Christ took our sins to the cross therefore taking our punishment. Since Christ took our sins to the cross and we have forgiveness, we are considered separated from our sins. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) We are separated from our sins only through Christ. Otherwise, we will fall short of the glory of God.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Jesus was the perfect sinless Lamb of God who sacrificed his life on the cross, dying in our place. Only God himself could save us from our sins. The Father and the Son showed infinite love they have for us through Jesus volunteering to take our sins to the cross. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. (1 John 3:16)

Everyday let us be thankful that through Christ and his forgiveness, he presents us to the Father as sinless. There is no greater gift than what Christ did for us. Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.(1 Thessalonians 5:18) We can be thankful in all circumstances because of the great love the Father and the Son have for us, as shown when Jesus took the punishment for our sins.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9) We are God’s special possession and he will protect our soul so we can be with him for eternity in Heaven. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. (John 8:28-29)

Today be thankful that your sins are forgiven, and that Christ is our high priest who intercedes for us to the Father. Let this always fill your heart with joy and thankfulness knowing you separated from your sins and Heaven is your home.

Prayer: Lord thank you for your love that was shown when Jesus went to the cross and took the punishment of my sins. Lord guide in the Spirit to reflect your love to others, and let others see the joy and thankfulness in my heart. In Jesus name, Amen
