We Are Never Alone

Posted on

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:20

The Lord is always with us through the Holy Spirit. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) The Spirit is what connects us to the Lord, and we can speak to the Lord at anytime. We can hear from the Lord through the Spirit with the Lord’s thoughts entering our minds.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)  When we are still inside communing with the Lord and listening, we can recognize when our thoughts are coming from Christ. When we are ministering to someone and we ask the Lord for his guidance, scriptures will enter our thoughts.  It takes being still inside to hear the Lord’s thoughts, and it takes motivation and prayer.

Our spiritual soul can always be with the Lord.  Our soul is our thoughts, personality, emotions and will, and we can be spiritually connected to the Lord at all times. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17) The Spirit within us can be one with Christ meaning Christ lives in us.  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20)

The more we depend on Christ, the more we live for Christ, the more we are in the Word, the more we pray and commune with the Lord; the more we realize Christ is in us.  The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63) The Spirit, which is Christ in us, gives us life which means our life has divine meaning as the Lord’s servants. The Word is the language of God, and the more we know the language the more we will hear the Lord’s thoughts through the Spirit.

Today, know that the Lord is with you and he is willing to guide you through your day with his love, peace, joy, and wisdom. Know you are never alone; Christ is with you.

Prayer:  Lord, thank you for always being with me and I pray that I am always with you. Guide my heart to serve you and to depend on you. In Jesus name, Amen
