We are in a Spiritual War
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12
Whatever evil Satan brings into this world in this world, we fight with the power of Christ. It is important we understand our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but it is a spiritual war is against Satan and his demons. We are in spiritual war, and victory only comes through the power of Christ.
We call on the Lord when Satan attacks, quote scripture, and Satan flees. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-2) We pray for all people, which includes our enemies because they have been deceived by Satan. Our spiritual war is against Satan; because he is the one who deceives people and places them on the broad road of destruction.
For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4) The Lord’s power works in us to give us victory, because Christ has total authority over Satan and his demons. We can always have victory over Satan when we call on Christ and his divine power.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) The Lord has given us his power to overcome the world. We have the Lord’s power to bring God’s truth to the world, because Satan hates God’s truth because he is father of lies. We always use Godly wisdom in bringing God’s truth to people, and we always fight this spiritual war through the power of Christ and through prayer
Today, realize we are in a spiritual war and expect victory through prayer and by love and power of Christ.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to fight this spiritual war, to love people and to hate sin. Let your love in my heart, be seen everyone, because Satan hates love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
