We are Christians
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
John 10:28-29
We are Christians and soldiers for Christ, fighting in a spiritual war to save lost souls. We are in a spiritual war where we never die, and we have guaranteed victory in Christ. We live and endure each day through the love and power from our Lord because we are Christians living in the family of God. We are filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Father and the Son make their home in our hearts. Our identity comes from the Father, the Son, and the Spirit living in us; and this, we can never forget or deny.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9) We are God’s special possession, and He will give us His strength to be victorious over whatever Satan places in our path. We are guaranteed victory in every spiritual battle if we stand tall as warriors for Christ.
Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) Christ has overcome the world and He has given us the power to overcome the world. The world has no power over us. They can never touch our soul and our home is Heaven.
If we remember that we are Christians, we will know the power of God is within us, giving us his divine strength and courage. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 118:6) Many people throughout history have died for Christ because the Lord gave them His strength to endure. They knew life is in the Spirit and not in the flesh. The Father sent an angel to comfort Jesus just before he went to the cross, and the angel was his assurance from the Father that he would endure. The Lord does the same for us, because we are Christians.
Today, remember you are a Christian, and you can live in guaranteed victory through the power of Christ in you. Never yield to Satan because he wants you to live in defeat. Why settle for defeat when victory is guaranteed? You are a spiritual warrior standing tall because you are a Christian.
Prayer: Lord, let me always know that I am a Christian walking in your love, power, and courage, to my last breath. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
