Walk With the Lord

Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

Colossians 2:6

We are to have the mind and heart of Christ, and what better way to reflect Christ than to walk with him. Suppose you walk with Christ in the physical and he was always with you, and how would that change our daily life? Well Christ is within us through the Spirit, and he is willing to guide us through every second of each day.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16) If we know the Lord is with us through the Spirit, and we ask him for our guidance in every situation, then we can overcome the sinful desires if the flesh. The Lord communicates with us by placing thoughts in our minds and changing the desires if our hearts. The Lord will convict us when we have a sinful thought leading to sinful action, but we must be quiet inside to sense his conviction.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) When we walk with Lord, asking for his guidance, wisdom, and power; we will overcome the world through His divine power. The Lord is eager to guide us through life and into Heaven, and nothing will take out of His righteous right hand. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

We walk with the Lord by knowing the Word and memorizing scripture, because the Word is the voice of God. The more we know the Word, the more in tune we are to be guided by Christ, because He guides us by the Word. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 18) We keep the Word in our minds, and we always have a Bible with us, because it is language of God, and power is in the Word. Every time we minister with the Word, it is like God is speaking.

Today walk with the Lord and converse with Him in every situation, just as He was walking beside you. Pray that walking with Lord will become the desire of the heart, and you will feel lost without the Lord being with you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. (Joshua 1:8) Keep praying and God will change our hearts where we desire to commune with the Lord as we go through each day.

Prayer: Father, keep changing me to be more like Christ, and create in me a great desire to walk with Christ every day. In Jesus name. Amen
