True Freedom Comes from Christ
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
John 8:36
Only Christ can truly set us free, and we ae free when we know Christ is with us and Heaven is our home. There are many people in this world who think Heaven is their home, based on lies from Satan, and not based on the truth from the Word. We do the will of the Father through Christ and we know Heaven is our home, but the God’s love in our hearts connect us with God, because God is love. We can never be free unless we know from the Word and live our live by the Word, and we know Heaven is our home.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) When we live serving Christ being a light for Christ in this world, we will experience life to the full, because God feeds our soul with blessings from Heaven through the Holy Spirit. We are spiritual people and our life in our spirit, and if our spirit is content from God, we don’t need to search all the days of our life that only pleases the flesh, and never bringing lasting contentment to our spirit. If our spirit is content from God, then we are free and always content.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) How can we be free in Christ until we are free of self? Our hearts are filled with God’s love because our life is about God and others, bringing God’s love and care to people. Hearts of love is what frees us from self. The apostle Paul lived a very difficult life and put God and others first, and the Lord kept him content in all circumstances. This shows us that if we put God and others first, God makes it easy to take of self and family and to be content. That’s not what the world teaches, but it is the way of God.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Christ sets us free and we are no longer slave to the sinful world or to the difficulties in life. We overcome everything through the power of God. God changes us by filling our souls with peace, joy, contentment, wisdom, all the blessings from Heaven, so we don’t have search the world for contentment. When our spirit is satisfied from God, we are satisfied and content. The world tries to reach lasting contentment through the flesh which is impossible, only God our creator can satisfy our spirit and make us free.
Today serve the Lord and he will continually fill your soul with divine blessings through the Holy Spirit. Then you will be free in Christ, and their no freedom in the world like the freedom from God.
Prayer: Lord keep me free from the world and to over temptations from Satan who is trying to steal my freedom.
