Think Victory in Christ
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Corinthians 15:57
We have victory in Christ, not victory as defined by the world but a victory that only comes from God through Christ. Our life is centered on serving the lord and we walk in victory. Jesus was victorious as he suffered and died on the cross for our sins, and we may suffer in this world but our faith always gives us victory in Christ.
We look at victory as seen from God and not as seen from the world. Whatever we do that pleases the Lord he smiles and remembers our victory, our victory over Satan. The victories we have in Christ are eternal while victories in the world are only temporary. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18) With our eyes fixed on what is unseen we seek victory in the spirit, a victory that is eternal.
If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. (1 Corinthians 15:19) If our hope is only for this life then we will look for our victories in this temporary life. Christians have hope in this life and have hope in eternal life. We have faith that the Lord will provide for our physical needs and that he will give his wisdom and strength to endure anything in this life. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
We live by faith and we seek victory in the Spirit that is eternal and pleasing to God. Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5) We have our minds set on what the Spirit desires therefore we seek victory in the Spirit, knowing heaven is our home.
Today serve the Lord seeking spiritual victory that pleases our Lord and overcomes Satan. Live in victory because the Spirit has divine power to overcome evil. Walk in God’s power and live today in victory, eternal victory.
Prayer: Lord, guide me in the Spirit to live in your divine power and wisdom, and lead me to spiritual victory as I minister to lost souls. In Jesus name, Amen
