The Word of God
Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:30
Many people will mourn when Christ returns, because they are now facing eternal judgment. His judgment is in the Word, but many people choose to believe Satan’s lies instead of finding the Truth.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) People have their whole life to read and study the Word and find the Truth, but Satan keeps them away from the Word. It is important to live by the truth because this short life is the only chance to get right with God. Our eternal life depends on knowing God’s Truth and living by the Truth.
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ (Matthew 4:4) Man should live by every word from the mouth of God, and the words of God are found only in the Bible. Without knowledge of the Word, how can a person live a life that is pleasing to God? Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105) How can we have the Holy Spirit in us, and be guided by Christ; if we don’t know the Word?
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Roman 8:9) If we don’t know the Word, how will we receive the Holy Spirit? Without the Word we are lost because there is nothing to believe except Satan’s lies.
Christians have the responsibility of bringing God’s truth to overcome Satan’s lies that people believe. We need a scripture for every lie that people believe, because the power is in the Word. But he answered, It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) Christians need to know the Word so we can bring the truth of God to people who believe Satan’s lies.
Today be prepared with scripture to overcome Satan’s lies that many people believe.
Prayer: Father guide me to bring Your truth to people who don’t know the truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
