The Ultimate Life
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.
John 10:10
Only God can give us the ultimate life, and that life comes from being one with Christ through the Spirit. The greatest thing a human being can experience is fellowship with the Lord because he brings love, peace, joy, and total trust deep into our soul. We can live secure in Christ with rest for our souls.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30) When God’s love fills our heart, fear begins to disappear, our faith becomes stronger, and our soul is at rest. This rest gets stronger as we get closer to the Lord and this rest rides on the love the Lord has for us, giving us confidence and his power in our life.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.(Ephesians 3:20) We live knowing we have the Lord’s divine power in us enabling us to do things that we cannot do in our own strength. He gives us his power to overcome sin, to make wise choices, to persevere through difficult situations in life, and to minister to lost souls. We not only have his power working through us but he also blesses us with his infinite love.
Satan and his lies have convinced many people that if they follow the Lord they will lose their freedom and have to give up their present worldly life. The truth is that the only true freedom on the planet comes from the Lord. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) We are either free in Christ or we are in bondage to the world.
Satan has wired our minds to his way of thinking, but the Lord rewires our mind to the mind of Christ. As this rewiring takes place, we become the person God created and the things of God start becoming our new way of thinking. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)
Our minds rewire based on what we think about. We change our thoughts to the ways of God by studying his Word, praying, fellowshipping with our Christian family, and serving the Lord. This is the new environment that is necessary to change what we think which is necessary for our brains to renew. The process is slow and takes patience and consistency, but the rewards are divine. Our minds are being rewired to the image of the Son. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son… (Romans 8:29)
Today know the Lord is giving you the full ultimate life that gets more fulfilling as you continue to walk with Him who loves you infinitely. Heaven is your home and where life is perfect forever.
Prayer: Lord thank you for giving me life to the full, overcoming the world living in freedom. Guide me to bring the good news to everyone. In Jesus’ name, Amen
