The Lord Provides

Posted on

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matthew 6:33

When our life is guided by Christ through the Spirit, the Lord will provide. We show our faith in the Lord by always putting him first and obeying his commands. We fear God which means we fully trust him and always seek to obey his will. If we want to be pleasing to God, we must have the faith to give Christ the priority in our life.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NASB) When Christ is our life, he will provide everything we need to get us through life. This takes faith because it’s not our worldly nature. We live for Christ giving him first priority, and he will make it possible that we can obtain our worldly needs.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5 ESV) God provides what we need and he satisfies our fleshly desire by filling our soul with blessings from Heaven.  When our soul is satisfied with the blessings from above, we have lost our desire for things of world and we are content with what God has provided to us.  Only God can satisfy our eternal soul which can control our fleshly desires.

Christ will continually feed our soul with blessing from Heaven, making us content and satisfied.  The blessings of God far outweigh the things from the world because God knows exactly how to make us content. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. (Philippians 4:11) God fed the apostle Paul with blessings from Heaven such that he was content in all circumstances. Paul physically struggled throughout his ministry, but God sustained him.

Today, depend on the Lord to provide whatever you need, especially when ministering to others. The Lord knows exactly you need both in the physical and in the spiritual. Ask for the Lord’s guidance in every situation.

Pray:  Lord, I know you will provide whatever I need to live as a servant to Christ my Lord.  Thank you, Lord, for always being with me and guiding me throughout each day.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
