The Lord Knows Our Future
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
The Lord has a plan for everyone that accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior. When we live the plan God created for us, we live life to the full. But if don’t give the Lord priority to the best of our ability, or develop a sinful recurring habit; we can miss the fullness of the Lord’s plan for our life.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25) We follow the Spirit by the direction the Lord puts in our hearts and minds, and we pray the Lord is always with us. The more we know the Word the more we can do the Lord’s will, because the Spirit will bring scriptures to our minds.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John16:13) The Spirit will guide us through each day, and the Spirit knows what is to come through the day. If we walk with the Spirit, we will be guided by Christ through every event of the day. If our faith depends on Christ guiding us through each day, we will live each day to the full serving Christ.
Only the Lord knows our future and if we depend on Christ being with us, we can walk through life with victory. Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. (James 1:2-3) With the Lord we know we can go through trials with confidence, and with the Lord’s strength, courage, and wisdom.
Today know the Lord will guide you through the day, and he knows the future and will prepare you for what’s ahead. It’s a blessing that the Lord knows the future and he is willing to give us whatever we need to endure.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for guiding me through each day with your divine knowledge. I pray that you will always be with me and that I will always depend on you to carry through me through life. In Jesus name, Amen
