The Lord is With You

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

John 14:23

The Father and Son are always with the believer and we are never alone. Christ guides us through life and into Heaven as he speaks to us through the Holy Spirit.  But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) The Holy Spirit is our connection to Christ, and if we are aware that the Father and the Son make there home in our hearts, we will know they are always with us.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) Christ remains in our hearts, and we remain in Christ. We can go through our days and never realize Christ lives in us and speaks to us through the Holy Spirit. We remain in Christ by first knowing he lives in our hearts, and we depend on him to guide us through our day. We show our dependence on Christ by asking for his guidance, strength, courage, patience, or whatever we need at the time.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16) We are a light in this world bringing the good news about Christ to the world, and people we see the heart of Jesus in us and glorify God. We need Christ to be with us and guide our thoughts, words, and scriptures. Without asking for the Lord’s guidance, we are ministering to the world alone in our own power.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) We ask for the Lord’s power to get us through our day reflecting Jesus in every situation. If we know the Father and the Son have made their home in our hearts, we will be more inclined to ask for help and guidance in every situation.

Today know you are never alone because the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are with you. Seek the Lord’s divine guidance to be like Jesus through the day.

Prayer:  Lord help me to always know you are with me and to always depend on you to guide through the day. Help to realize that you are always with me.  In Jesus name, Amen
