The Importance of Faith
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
From this verse we can assume our faith must be pleasing to God. We will describe faith that always trusts God’s will over our will. Always trusting God’s will, there will be times when we will not understand his answer to our prayers, that’s when we may be hurting, but remain trusting God. This side of Heaven we will never fully understand God’s ways, and that is why we have faith.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) We are saved by faith because when we trust God’s will over our will, it shows we know the Father and the Son. God wants us to trust him, because he loves us more than we can imagine, and he knows our life far better than we do.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) Our faith is shown when we place our life in the hands of Christ and let him led is through life. We do whatever the Christ tells us to do, even if it is difficult, or fearful, or interferes our desire. Doing what the Lord calls us to do takes first priority in our life, because we fully trust his ways and eagerly seeking his divine guidance.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) We use our money according to the Lord’s will, which he tells us through prayer. When our hearts are filled with God’s love, we seek ways to help people with our finances, which can open the door to tell them about Christ.
Today trust the Lord and do whatever he puts on your heart. Always put the Lord’s will over your will, because shows trusting the Lord is your top priority.
Prayer: Lord I pray my faith is pleasing to you, if not changes me. Help me to fully trust you over my will. In Jesus name, Amen
