The Bible – Guide to Heaven

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Revelations 19:13

When Christ returns, he is called the Word of God, and Christ brings judgment on all mankind based on the Word. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. (Isaiah 40.8) Some churches tend to change the Word, and some people ignore what they refuse to believe, but judgment is always based on God’s Truth given in the Word.

Satan tempts us to justify our own will, and our will can go against the Word. Some people ignore parts of the Word that doesn’t agree with their desire. By changing the Word and refusing to obey certain commands, we are tampering with our judgment for eternal life. Every command in the Word is a blessing to us, and all commands can be obeyed when we ask for the power of God; and we live to please God.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8) We read the Word and meditate on what we read, because if we quickly read the Word, in will never get out of short-term memory and we will forget what we read. Always pray before reading the Word and ask the Lord for deep understanding and to identify any verses he wants you to know.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) We can read the Word many times and it can tell us something different because Christ speaks to us as we read, he puts thoughts in our minds and changes the desire of our heart. Always read the Word and seek to obey all the commands with the Lord’s help.

Today live by the Word, and ask for the Lord’s help in obeying. Know that every command in the Word is a blessing to us, and brings divine peace.

Prayer:  Lord guide me in the Spirit to meditate on the Word and give the power to obey your commands. In Jesus name, Amen
