Tell the World About Christ

Posted on

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Luke 9:23

If we follow the Spirit, the Lord will lead us to tell the world about Christ, based on the talents he has given to each of us. We pray that the Lord will help us follow the Spirit and he will place thoughts in your minds and he will change the desires of your heart. Also think of how we can tell others about Christ, because the Lord is pleased when we are motivated to help others and tell them about Christ.

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:37-40) We help people because it shows we care about them and it opens the door to tell them about Christ.

We can bring Christ to others by verbally telling them, passing out or mailing appropriate Christian literature, inviting them to church, pray for them, and it’s always good to have another Christian with you if possible. Always reflect Christ in your behavior, reflecting the fruit of the Spirit; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. (Luke 10:1) Jesus sent them in pairs because it’s always comforting to have another Christian with you. It’s always good to team up with another strong Christians who is experienced in telling others about Christ.  As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

Always pray for the Lord to open doors and to bring out the talents that he has given you. Sometimes a Christian may have a talent that he or she doesn’t realize.  In school my worst subjects were public speaking and writing, but today my ministry is teaching classes, preaching, writing books and writing for the website. God gives everyone a talent, and the ability to use that talent to the best of their ability. The level of talent is overridden by the love and care people see in our hearts. All God wants from us is to our best, and he doesn’t compare one person to another.

Today pray the Lord will open doors to tell others about Christ. It is very rewarding and fulfilling to help others and tell them about Christ.

Prayer: Lord guide me to be Light on a hill, helping others, reflecting Christ, and telling others about Christ, and reveal all of the talents you have given me. In Jesus name, Amen
