A Spiritual View of the World

Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don't you remember?

Mark 8:18

We can see the world through the eyes of God if we read the Word. This also helps us to know the purpose of Satan’s evil ways, enabling us to understand what is happening in the world. Christians know God’s truth and understand the world’s beliefs because we recognize Satan’s lies. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44). These are words that Jesus spoke to the Pharisees because they were living by Satan’s lies. Today, we are either living by God’s truth, or we are living by Satan’s lies.

Satan knows that he is doomed to eternal torment and he is angry at God. He cannot attack God directly, but he tries to keep us from believing in God. Satan wants to destroy Christians because we have salvation through Christ and we are created in God’s image. Below is a list of the tactics that Satan uses to implement his evil plan:

  • Enticing us to believe his lies, which are easy to believe because they satisfy our consciences and appeal to our fleshly desires.
  • Inciting people who justify killing Christians; we see this today where Christians of all ages are being killed or imprisoned.
  • Infiltrating the church with people who promote false teaching and thereby make Christians ineffective witnesses for Christ.
  • Influencing governmental leaders to make laws against Godly principles and against Christians.
  • Creating evil in every area of life, and attempting to fill us with fear. Fear draws us inward and away from God. Satan attempts to influence our children to believe his lies so that they blame God for allowing evil in the world.

God is sovereign, and as the world becomes more evil it is a test for Christians to become more faithful and to draw closer to our Lord. It is time for us to minister to lost souls with the truth that overcomes the lies they believe. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. (Revelation 2:10). As true Christians living for Christ, we have nothing to fear because the Lord gives us his strength to endure and heaven is our home. Christ will return and do away with all evil and all those who believe Satan’s lies will be lost for eternity. Therefore pray and minister to these people with the love God has put into your heart. Satan is using them through his lies without them knowing it. Our war is not against people, it’s against Satan and his evil ways.

Today seek to minister to lost souls with love, compassion and understanding. Reveal a caring heart and gently reflect God’s love, forgiveness, and mercy. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4). The Lord greatly cares about the lost, including those who are our enemies. If these souls know the truth, they can become powerful witnesses for Christ, just as Paul was an enemy of Christ until he believed the truth and became a powerful witness for Christ. You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:43-44).

Let’s Pray: Lord, take away any fear from Satan and fill my heart with love, hope, and courage. Guide me to bring Christ to lost souls, those who believe Satan’s lies. Give me the right words with patience and wisdom to minister to these souls. Help me to love and pray for my enemies, and destroy any hate that Satan tries to put in my heart. In Jesus name, Amen.
