Slave But Free

Posted on

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1

With faith we put our life in the hands of Christ seeking his divine guidance and strength, but he sets us free. There is no freedom in this world that compares to the freedom that Christ gives us, and we have overcome the world and we know Heaven is our home.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17) The Spirit of God lives within us, and Christ is with us, so how can we not be free? The more our faith depends on the Lord, and the closer loving relationship we have with Him, the more freedom we have, and the more we depend on Him. Christians are not only free in Christ, we also are guided by Christ, and we live with his divine power.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32). The more we know the truth of God’s Word, and the closer relationship we have Christ, the more freedom we will experience. As we spiritually grow, we will experience more freedom to our last breath, then we will be forever free in Heaven.

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. (1 Petr 2:16) We live with freedom in our hearts, and we are always thankful to God for the freedom he has given us, and we show our thanks by serving Christ. It’s a great blessing that Christs guides us through life with his divine wisdom, love, and power. We should always be thankful.

Satan places in people’s minds that if they follow Christ, they have lost their freedom, and that is because Satan lies are opposite of God’s truth.  We have to tell the people that believe Satan’s lies, that only Christ can set them free, with a heart of hope and peace. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. (Romans 6:22) We are slaves of God and we are free from sin, even though Satan is always tempting us. We live in victory through the power of God, but we can never be perfect, but have forgiveness from Christ.

Today know you are free in Christ no matter where you live, because Heaven is your home, and you have overcome the sinful world.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always be free in Christ, because Satan is always trying to take freedom away. In Jesus name, Amen
