Signs of the Time

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

The world is following the prophecies in the book of Revelations, but God tells his people not to fear because our souls are protected for eternity.  Satan is hoping that we will be fearful and blame God for the tragedies and evil that is happening in this fallen world. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, (Matthew 24:12) With this pandemic occurring, it is time we call on the Lord in prayer and seek to be closer to our him.

When worldwide events like the pandemic occurs, it can cause people including some Christians to blame God, but it can motivate Christians to be closer to God, and it can bring non-Christians to seek God. This is a prime time to comfort people by telling them about Christ. Then he (Jesus) said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.  (Matthew 9:37) Even if the workers are few, we can bring the good news of Christ to many.

We can minister to others through prayer during this pandemic, or perhaps email, telephone, or social media.  Hopefully this pandemic will be over in a few weeks then we can go into the harvest field. We pray that the Lord directs us to souls with open hearts. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)  We are asking the Lord to direct us to people with hearts to hear the good news of Christ.

Today, follow all the guidelines for this pandemic to protect not only yourself but to protect others. Pray for the Lord’s help for all people and for the pandemic to end.  Don’t let Satan put fear in your heart, but seek the power of our sovereign God.

Prayer: Lord, I put my trust in you and whatever happens in this life let it draw me closer to you.  Never let your love in my heart grow cold. Guide me to people that need security and comfort, so I can tell them about Christ.  Lord, please end this pandemic and let it draw Christians closer to you and non-believers to seek you.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
