Servants of Christ

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24

When we go through life doing everything for Christ, we do everything better and we have the Lord’s help in everything we do. It is a great blessing having Christ, who is God where everything is possible; and He is willing to guide us and help us through life.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) Since we are created in the image of God, it is natural and desirable to be guided by Christ, so we live as we are created. And when we live a created, we live life to the full.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) As servants of Christ we are not only guided and helped by Christ, but we are also free and no longer slaves to the world. Only Christ can set us free, independent of the world situation.

Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) Christ guides us, helps us, sets us free, and enables us to overcome the world. We are controlled by the Spirit of God and we are not controlled by the sinful world. As servants of Christ, we live with the power of Christ.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) Christians are the most powerful people on the planet, because we have the divine power God. And we use His divine power as directed by Christ, to bring God’s love and truth to the world with a humble heart.

All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God: (Deuteronomy 28:2) When we obey the Lord as His servants, we are blessed from Heaven that continuously feed our soul. Only God can bring lasting blessing that feed our soul, while the world only feeds the flesh temporary. Our life is in the soul, our spirit, and only God can bring lasting blessing to us.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. (Philippians 4:11-12) The apostle Paul suffered greatly, and he gave his life serving Christ, and God fed his soul with contentment that overcame the world. The blessings of God are more powerful than anything we can find in the world.

Today do your best to serve the Lord in everything you do, and ask the Lord to be with you and help you in everything. Be totally dependent on the lord.

Prayer: Father help be to always be a servant of Christ, and to fully depend on Christ for everything. In Jesus name, Amen
