Seek the Spirit’s Guidance
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:14
Christ lives in the believer and he guides us through the Holy Spirit. In order for us to follow the Spirit we must know the language of God which is the Word, we must desire to follow the Spirit, and we must be still inside. Christ will answer us through the Spirit by placing thoughts in our minds, and changing the desires of our hearts. But this is much easier if we know the Word and obey the Word; and we ask Christ to be with us in whatever we are doing.
But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. (John 16:13) We ask the Lord to open doors for us to minister to people, and we pray for his guidance so we always remain in the truth of God’s Word. We pray to confirm we are doing the Lord’s will, and we ask the Lord to guide our steps.
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. (Proverbs 16:9) When we are sure we are doing the Lord’s will, we plan and schedule and ask the Lord to guide our steps. We always ask the Lord with to be us in real-time in virtually everything we do, because it shows our faith with a dependent heart. If we really depend on the Lord to guide us, we will ask him to be with us in every step we take.
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31) When we seek to follow the Lord, he fills our souls with the blessings from Heaven that renews our strength. It’s amazing how we can be tired and the Lord calls to us minister to someone or to teach a class, and the Spirit gives us instant energy and drive. That is the power the Lord puts into our hearts. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
Today seek the Spirit’s guidance and walk in the power and wisdom of God. Christ is willing and he desires to guide you with his love, power, wisdom, and anything you may need to reflect Christ to others and to be successful in everything you do.
Prayer: Lord help me to heart the Spirit in my thoughts and in my heart. I seek your divine guidance and help in everything I do today. In Jesus name, Amen
