Seek Godly Blessings

Posted on

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Corinthians 7:13

Godly blessings are eternally satisfying and fulfilling while worldly blessings are temporary and usually come from our fleshly desires. Godly blessings come from Heaven through the Holy Spirit, filling our soul with love, peace, joy, and contentment. The Lord fills our soul with everything that most people look for in the world. Christians live a fulfilling and content life and they serve the Lord receiving the divine blessings of God.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63). Jesus tells us the Spirit gives life, both in our worldly life and eternal life. While seeking things of the world through the flesh, we will never fully satisfy our soul. This is a lie from Satan saying we can only be content in this life by seeking worldly things.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33). When we live to serve the Lord putting him first, we are living life to the fullest — knowing these things will be given to us as well. These things are our worldly needs which we receive with a thankful heart.

When we are content and satisfied in our soul and we know the Lord will provide for all our worldly needs, we are now free to really enjoy the world. We are content and enjoy the world through the eyes of God with a thankful heart. Christians should be the most joyous people on the planet because our soul is filled the Lord’s blessings and we know Heaven is our home.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, (Romans 8:9). When we accept Christ as our Savior, we become the ones he foreknew. Therefore, we are predestined to conform to the image of his Son. As we become more Christ-like, our life becomes more fulfilling and enjoyable. This fulfillment comes from God and it is not dependent on circumstances in life. It comes from the Spirit and is always with us. Even in difficult or tragic times, we are still comforted through the Spirit.

Today, seek Godly blessings and live the fulfilling life the Lord has planned for you. Know you cannot receive the fulfilling life in your own strength, because it is received through the power of God as you live to serve him being light for Christ in this world.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your divine blessings that have changed me and given me joy in this life. Guide me in the Spirit to serve you as you mold me to be more Christ-like and a light in this world. In Jesus’ name, Amen
