See Every Day as a Test

Posted on

Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.

Psalm 26:2

Do you think there is an advantage to live each day as a test given to us by the Lord? To be aware of our thoughts, words, and actions during the day, and strive to be Christ-like in all situations? It’s difficult to treat every day as a test, seeking to be Christ-like and handle every situation with Godly wisdom. Although we don’t consciously think about the day being a test, subconsciously, we can live as every moment as a test. Viewing life as a test is virtually same as seeking victory in Christ, seeking to please the Lord throughout the day.

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4) With a mindset of victory, we know we will past the test and go through our day with confidence because the Lord goes with us and the Spirit guides us. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) We can achieve victory through the Lord’s love, strength and help. Fear from Satan is weakened by God’s love in us.

During the day, if we are aware of fighting Satan with our thoughts, words, and actions, it will help us to call on the Lord into every battle, so we can live in victory. However, sometimes we are driven by our emotions and we are in the battle before we call on the Lord and seek victory. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10) It’s good to have this verse in our hearts because it can help us control our emotions and call on Godly wisdom and live in victory. Satan likes to use our emotions against us, so the first battle is to control our emotions.

Today, see each day a test and live in victory through the love and power of Christ. The biggest victory is not always worldly but is to have victory in the eyes of Christ. Victory in Christ is an eternal victory.

Prayer: Lord, guide me in the Spirit to see every challenge as a test, with a heart of victory through Christ. Keep my emotions under control of the Spirit so I will always call on you when fighting a battle. Thank you for always being with me and guiding me through life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
