Satan’s Weapon is Fear
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:4
Satan’s goal is to bring evil into the world and to kill Christians in his attempt to hurt God. Satan knows his eternity is in hell and he busy trying to turn the world against God. And all those that don’t know the Word of God will by default go with Satan. But all those that know the Word and live by the Word, live in total victory in Christ, and we overcome the world.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18) It is impossible to have the power of Satan’s fear, and at the same time have infinite power of God’s love in our hearts. The more of God’s love we have in hearts the more motivated we are to bring Christ to lost souls, and the closer we are to the Lord. Life becomes centered on God and others and not on self. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) If we are free in Christ and have the desire to be with Christ, then Satan’s fear has lost its power in our life.
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21) When we are close to Christ, this verse will be true for every Christian. I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far. (Philippians 1:23) The apostle Paul was torn between staying on earth and ministering to others, or going home to be with the Lord. Paul desired to depart and be with the Lord which better by far, and this should be desire for every Christian.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) When our faith is pleasing to God, then our faith will put all our trust in Christ, and he will guide us to victory over Satan and his fear.
Today overcome any fear from Satan and seek the Lord’s love to overcome, Christ has infinite power over Satan and his demons, so call for the power of God to overcome the world.
Prayer: Guide me to overcome fear from Satan, and call on your divine power, and so I can live in victory. In Jesus name, Amen.
