Satan Wants Control

Posted on

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

Revelations 2:10

This verse describes the type of control Satan desires over Christians, because he is angry at God. Satan’s goal is to control the world and he gives power to the beast to control all nations.  It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. (Revelations 13:7)  If Satan has control of all nations then he has the power to persecute Christians throughout the world.

Satan is aggressively trying to dominant every country so he can control the beast to rule the nations. The world is taking away our freedom, but Christ has set us free over the world. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) We endure serving Christ to our last breath because we know Christ is victorious. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Revelations 20:10)  The beast and the false prophet (who supports the beast) are thrown in to the lake fire and exposed as demons of Satan. And Satan is thrown in the lake of fire with them.

Christians must endure the sinfulness of a world that blindly follows the lies of Satan. Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)  Our soul gets a new body, and younger perfect body that will last forever. We live for Christ till our last breath and we go home, to our eternal home with the Father and the Son. We are victorious in Christ, while many will mourn when Christ returns because they never believed God’s Truth.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:24) We bring God’s truth to the world before it’s too late. Our enemies believe Satan’s lies because they don’t know God’s Truth.  There are many that will believe God’s Truth and there are many that will refuse God’s Truth. But everyone that believes is a great victory!

Today reflect Christ to everyone, especially to non-believers. Pray every day for lost souls, and pray the Lord will guide you to someone who is open to hear the Truth.

Prayer: Lord, give me your strength and courage to endure this world and to live in the power of Christ and bring the Truth to the world. In Jesus name, Amen
