Satan, the Father of Lies

Posted on

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
John 8:44
These were the words Jesus spoke to the Pharisees who were living in Satan’s lies. At end times Satan is at full force feeding lies to the world, to non-Christians and to Christians. Satan is a master at deception which enables him to feed his lies to people. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelations 12:9).
Why do you think the world is against Christians? It’s because Satan is out to hurt God by destroying his people, and he is doing this by turning the world against Christians. Satan hates everyone, because we are all created in the image of God and he knows God loves everyone and wishes all to be saved. Satan hates those who serve him and he is delighted they are doing his evil work.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy and his goal is destroy all people for eternity, especially Christians. The beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. And all who dwell on the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb who was slain. (Revelations 13:7-8) Satan’s plan is to have the beast rule all nations by deceiving those who don’t know Christ. The purpose of the beast is to make war against God’s people. Now watch for countries moving toward a one world government and don’t be deceived by Satan’s lies. Open the Bible and find the Truth about the beast.
Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:4) It is important for everyone to seek the truth, and don’t believe everything you read, hear, our see. Christians who know God’s Truth can be deceived by what they read and hear if they are not careful. Remember Satan is the father of lies and is a master deceiver, and everyone should be careful to verify the truth in what they read, hear and see. No one likes to be lied too!
Today live by God’s truth and not by the pattern of this world. In the last days Satan’s lies are very deceiving and every Christian has to be in the Word, in prayer, and fellowship with strong Christians.
Prayer: Lord, help me to identify Satan’s lies and to always live by your divine Truth. In Jesus name, Amen
