Rejoice, Pray, and Be Thankful
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
We can rejoice always because Christ is guiding us through life to our eternal home in Heaven. We pray without ceasing because we want to have conversation with Lord. And we always give thanks to the Father and the Son because of what they have done for us.
We can always be filled with joy which comes from a thankful heart, and we know Christ is always with us, so we feel secure. The body without the spirit is dead. (James 2:26) Life is in our spirit which means the world cannot touch our life; they can kill our fleshly suit, but our life is in the spirit, and we will always remain alive as complete spiritual person.
When Christ returns, we get an eternal young body that lives forever and never ages. We will live in Heaven with the Father and the Son where life is perfect every moment. Therefore, we live with joy and a thankful heart, because Christ died for our sins, making it possible for Heaven to be our eternal home.
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. (1 chronicles 16:8) If we have thankful heart, we will be driven to tell others what the Lord has done for us. We tell others about the great the news that Christ has given us eternal life in Heaven.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. (Philippians 4:6-7) We pray and we commune with the God during, and we have a thankful heart that God hears us. Think deeply what a blessing it is to talk to God, the creator of all things, and who all things are possible. Billions of people on the earth, yet he listens to us and he knows us better than we know our self.
After all the things the Father and the Son have done for us, how can we not have a thankful heart, and how can we not eagerly desire to talk to God, and live in a state of rejoicing because Heaven is our home.
Today live with a thankful heart, because Christ is with and will guide us each day toward Heaven. Live rejoicing because the world cannot touch the spiritual person, they can only affect our flesh.
Prayer: Father, help me to live with a rejoicing and a thankful heart every day, and have faith that fully depends on Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
