Reflect Jesus to Lost Souls
Let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins
James 5:20
If Christians don’t bring God’s truth to lost souls, then who will. Most of the world is deceived by Satan because they don’t know God’s truth, Satan spreads lies about God, such as losing their freedom and become a slave worshipping God. Satan has many lies that keep people from finding the Truth. Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) This verse tells us there are few that find God’s Truth. And that is because Satan’s lies about God and tempts people to live by there fleshly desires.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) When Jesus was in the world, he was the Light of the world, but after he ascended into Heaven, we are the Light of the world. That’s why we have the Holy Spirit, to change us a make us a light for Christ. Then Jesus said to his disciples, Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. (Matthew 16:24) We are called to be disciples of Christ and that is why Jesus lives in hearts. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) We need Christ with us to be light on hill, bringing God’s Truth to lost souls.
Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. (1 John 2:6) We are being molded to have the heart and mind of Jesus, so we will be motivated to be light on a hill. Why do you think the Lord fills our hearts with his Word, and his love and compassion, and wants a close relationship with us? We are become more like Christ and start living like Jesus did, motivated by love to bringing God’s Truth to lost souls, overcoming the lies they are believing from Satan. When our hearts are complete with God’s love, we feel sad for lost souls, especially those lost souls who are close to us.
Today bring God’s truth to whoever will listen, and always reflect Jesus in every situation. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22) Christ live in our hearts to enable us to be doers of the Word. We live out of our hearts so the Word must be in our hearts, and the Word and God’s love moves into our hearts as we become a light on the hill.
Prayer: Lord guide me in the Spirit to be light on a hill to everyone today. Be with me to bring your Truth to lost souls with love and compassion. In Jesus name, Amen
