Praying into the Spiritual World

Posted on

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

John 4:24

If we pray with focus on the physical we will miss the power of the spiritual. Our souls are spiritual, Satan and his demons are spiritual, and God is spiritual, and he controls everything. Through the Spirit we become Christ-like and we are guided by the Lord to be free in Christ.

We pray in the Spirit because that is what God desires; But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him (John 4:23) . Christians are connected to the Father through the Holy spirit, and he helps us to pray:  Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.  And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26-27).

The Holy Spirit connects all Christians through God, as we are all his children. For example we may be praying for a Christian on the other side of the world, yet in the spirit they can be considered as being next door. So pray and know that physical boundaries don’t exist in the spiritual world. Christ can connect all Christians together through the Holy Spirit, so pray for Christians all over the world because your prayer can reach them through Christ. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:18).

Praying in the Spirit is praying for what the Holy Spirit puts on our hearts. Believe strongly that the Lord will answer your prayer: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways (James 1:5-8).

Today pray in the Spirit and know that the Lord’s answer can be sent anywhere and to anybody. Recognize the power of prayer and always pray without regard to physical boundaries. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26). All things are possible in prayer when praying in the spirit and trusting the Lord with his perfect answer by not leaning on our own understanding.

Prayer: Father in Heaven, guide my prayers through the Spirit that they will be spirit and truth. I know that you are in total control and can do all things, let my faith not be plagued by doubt. In Jesus name, Amen
