Overcoming Fear of Failure

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Ephesians 3:20

Satan’s goal is to stop us from trusting God by putting fear in our hearts. We overcome fear through faith that pleases God, knowing he will work his power through us to do more than we can imagine.

We pray that the Lord works his power through us and that he helps us to give our best to him. When we are motivated to do the Lord’s will and motivated to give it our best as his servants, his power will work through us. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters (Colossians 3:23). We must be motivated to serve the Lord to experience his power working through us.

David went against Goliath with faith, knowing it would be the Lord’s victory. David knew the power of God; his power had worked through him when he killed a bear and a lion. David was confident in the Lord and the Lord’s victory came through David, someone who had the faith and wisdom to depend on the Lord’s strength for victory. Know that God works his power through us, and his victories he achieves through us.   Never think it’s your victory; you are available for the Lord to work his victory through you.

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).” We are weak in ourselves but strong in the faith, which gives us confidence in the Lord. We die to self but are alive in Christ, always giving the Lord our best. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20). We crucify self and let Christ live in us; then the Lord can do more than we can imagine as his power works within us. Our faith in the Lord takes away our fear and increases our motivation. Confidence in the Lord’s power gives us motivation and excitement as we see his power and love working through us. This fills our hearts with thankfulness that drops us to our knees.

Today overcome all fear of failure through the Lord’s loving power that he works through you. Remember fear is Satan’s number one weapon to pull you away from God. That is why the Bible tells us 365 times not to fear. Walk confidently today in the Lord’s power with a heart of love.

Let’s Pray: Lord thank you for giving me the confidence to be victorious through your power to overcome Satan and his temptations. Through your power I can walk without fear of failing. Thank you for your power and the strength that you work in me. In Jesus name, Amen
