Overcome Satan’s Fear
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
Fear is one of Satan’s favorite weapons, but with faith we can overcome Satan’s evil fearful tactics. Satan is turning the world increasingly evil, but we walk with the power of God to overcome the world. God has power over all creation, and we walk in victory, because we are in His family and he protects us from the evil one.
If we live with the fear Satan has put in this world, it will create chaos in our brains. It has been proven that fearful thinking affects the efficiency of our brains and also affects our physical health. This is what Satan desires to do, put fear in our minds and lose faith in the Lord.
How do we handle fear from Satan, when read about what is happening to Christians in this evil world? Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) We overcome fear from this world by having faith in the Lord, and he will give us peace and joy, because know Heaven is our home.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). When Satan attacks with fear, we kill the thought through the power of God’s love. God’s love is far more powerful than any fear Satan can place in our life, because Heaven is our home. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? (Psalm 118:6) Our life is in our soul, and man can only destroy the flesh.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7). God will give us peace because he doesn’t want those in his family to walk in fear. Be close to the Lord and we will walk in peace and joy, and we never yield to any of Satan’s evil tactics.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) We fear not what man can do us because it only effects our flesh. When we die our spirit remains alive, and when Christ returns, we get a younger body that lives forever, and never ages or has any pain. Therefore, we live with divine peace and joy that never goes away.
Today recognize fear as Satan attacking, and reach for victory through the power of God.
Prayer: Lord, take any Satan’s fear and let me walk with divine peace and joy. Fill my heart with your love and keep me eternally minded. In Jesus name, Amen
