Our Life is Christ

Posted on

And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

Matthew 10:38

This verse tells us to follow Christ, or we are not worthy of Christ. We follow Christ by following the Holy Spirit, giving the Lord priority in our life. We are the Lord’s servant every day, and he guides us through life with his love and power.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. (Colossians 3:23) Everything we do is for Christ and we always do our best. We live in the Word and in prayer, and our desire and the Lord’s desire become the same as we serve him. When Christ is our life, we are fulfilling our divine calling and we are living life to the full, because living for Christ is what we are created to do.

Life is our spirit, and we are guided by the Holy Spirit to serve the Lord. The more we know the Word and the more we pray, the better we can follow the Spirit. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2) When our thoughts are own things above, then our thoughts are in tune with the Spirit.

If we are doing worldly tasks for the Lord we will remain in the Spirit, but if we are doing it for self, then we are doing it alone and for the world. We live for Christ and we do everything as service to Christ. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20) The apostle Paul did everything for Christ because Christ guided him through the Spirit. From this verse we crucify our will and live for the Lord’s will, and eventually our will changes to do the Lord’s will.

When Christ is our life, it’s amazing how close we are to Christ, and how much we depend on him. We depend on Christ to be with us and guide us through each day. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11) The Lord will always guide us and we walk in victory when we obey the Lord’s divine will. When we walk in the Lord’s power we are in control because we have overcome the world. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4)

Today let Christ guide you through the Spirit and live with victory. Don’t let Satan have any control of your thinking or your emotions, because he wants to destroy you.

Prayer: Lord guide me through the day and every day, and keep Satan away. Keep my mind and emotions in your will. In Jesus name, Amen
