One Spirit with the Lord

Posted on

But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:7

We can be as close to the Lord as we desire; one spirit with Him. The more our thoughts are on things above, and the more we depend on the Lord, the more we need to be one spirit with him. If we really depend on the Lord, we will commune with him all day with a needful and thankful heart, because Christ is the most important person in our life.

Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:23-24) From this verse we can see that the Lord is close to us, but how close are we to the Lord? Come near to God and he will come near to you. (James 4:8) If we have a strong desire to be close to the Lord, and we pray that we can be one spirit with Him, then he will come near to us. The Lord wants to be one spirit with us and his desire is to guide us through life, being light in this world, and into our Heavenly home.

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. (John 12:26) We serve the Lord by following him through the Spirit, and he will always be with us, and we will be honored by the Father. If Christ is always with us, as live to serve him as the first priority in our life, we will become one spirit with Christ.  There is no greater blessing on the planet, than being one spirit with Christ our Lord. No one loves us like Christ, and no one wants bless us like Christ, and no one wants us to be Heaven more than the Father and the Son.

Today seek to be close to the Lord by your thoughts, words, and his guidance. His desire is to guide you through each day with his divine wisdom, love, and patience. What more can ask for than have Christ’s willingness to guide us through life?

Prayer:  Father, help me to be closer to Christ, by serving him, communing with him, and fully depending on Him. In Jesus name, Amen
