One Plus God is Victory

Posted on

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31

We fight Satan in this world by revealing God’s truth and love to lost souls, and we often face Satan’s opposition through people he leads against Christians. Whatever we endure, every faithful Christian is victorious in Christ and the world can do nothing to change our eternal destiny. Satan is leading the world in a losing battle in his attempt to destroy God’s people.

Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads (Revelation 14:1). This is John’s vision of all of God’s people in the city of God (Mount Zion) in the presence of and protected by Christ (Father’s name written on their foreheads). The number 144,000 is symbolic and represents the 12 tribes of Israel in the Old Testament time period, the 12 apostles representing the church time period, and the number 1000 represents completeness. Thus 12 x 12 x 1000 = 144,000 represents God’s people throughout the ages. This is the ultimate victory for all of God’s people who remain faithful to Christ. Christians are also victorious in this life because they live in the Kingdom while on earth and the Lord protects their souls from the evil one. The Lord is with me; I will not fear; What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:6).

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10). We are in Christ’s church, his family, and we are protected by the Lord. We are able to overcome any fear because heaven is our home. People who don’t know Christ live in fear because they are sinful in the eyes of God. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23). They may not be aware of their fear, but in the last days they will know God’s truth and will experience the ultimate in fear. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11).

Today know that you live in the kingdom and that your soul is protected for eternity. Don’t let this evil world put Satan’s fear in your heart because you are victorious in Christ no matter what the world may say or do. The world is filled with lost souls trying to survive living in Satan’s lies, and the only hope they have comes from us if we bring the Light of Christ to them. We experience victory in Jesus whenever a lost soul accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Let’s Pray: Father in heaven, I pray that you will instill victory in my heart so I can boldly reflect Christ to the world. Protect me from Satan’s schemes so that fear will never keep me from being a Light for Christ. Lord I know you are always with me, so help me to put my confidence in you. In Jesus name, Amen
