Make the Right Choice
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Our Choice is: Eternal life with the Father and the Son in Heaven, or with Satan and the demons in hell. We will never be perfect is this life, but Christ died for our sins and presents us to the Father as perfect. God, and through Jesus, He has done everything possible to keep us on the narrow road to Heaven; we just need to make the right choice. Remember this life is short, but eternal life is forever.
Which is the best life, living for Satan or living for Christ? Most people live for Satan on the dark broad road, because they don’t know the truth that comes from the Word of God. Many people have a Bible but rarely read it, if they read it at all, instead they believe Satan’s lies. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8) We can live to please our fleshly desires and forget about our Spiritual desires from God, or we can live for spiritual desires which will fulfill our physical desires.
So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelations 12:9) People who don’t know the truth from the Word of God, will by default believe Satan’s lies, and they make wrong choices. Satan keeps people away from the Word, so they will believe his lies.
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:8) This is a choice we all have make, when Satan tempts us, it is always to please our flesh; but we are never fully content until God feeds his blessing into our soul. Only God, who created us in his image, can satisfy our soul through his blessings of love, peace, joy, thankfulness, courage, or whatever we need, and these blessing never go away. We choose between temporary blessings from Satan, of lasting blessing from God.
Today make the right choice that gives life to the full and leads us to Heaven. And remember Satan wants to destroy us because we are created in the image of God.
Prayer: Lord, help me to make the right choice every day, the choice to serve Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
