Make it a Blessed Day

Posted on

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

Your attitude for this day is your choice. You can start off with a good attitude, but many things can occur during the day that can change your attitude. So how can we have a blessed day, when Satan is using the world to make our days fearful, angry, and exhausting?

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7) Do you think we have the power from God to control our thoughts and emotions in any situation? This means controlling the fear and anger fed to us by Satan. When tragedy strikes we will naturally feel sorrow and pain, but we can depend on the Lord for comfort and guidance.

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5) Most of our days are typical, but how much influence does the world have on our attitudes, and how much influence does the Holy Spirit have on our attitudes? How would our days be if all worldly events were filtered by the Holy Spirit, who guides our responses and attitudes?

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25) This is the key to living a blessed fulfilling day: Trusting the Lord and walking in step with the Spirit. Put everything in the Lord’s hands, and he will destroy the fear from Satan and give us attitudes of victory, because all things are possible for God.

Start your day in step with the Spirit, through prayer and scripture reading, and demand yourself to have a blessed day; a day filled with love, peace, and joy. Refuse to let Satan steal this fulfilling day, and do this by being a light to everyone you meet today. When we point someone to Christ or encourage or help someone, we carry an attitude of encouragement, making it a fulfilling day.

Each day is a blessing from God, giving each of us an opportunity to reflect Christ to someone. Living each day for your divine purpose can greatly affect your attitude because your purpose is to reflect Christ to the world. Only a hopeful encouraging attitude can reflect love, peace, and joy to others.

Let’s Pray : Lord, help me to have a blessed day serving you by being an encouraging light in this world. Let your love and wisdom be seen through me, and let it touch the hearts of others. It is the power of your Word that changes people’s minds and hearts. Thank you Lord for the Spirit that reaches out to lost souls. In Jesus name, Amen
