Love Takes Away Fear
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18
If we truly know God and we live to serve Christ, what do we have to fear. We know Heaven is our home where we live for eternity, and knowing our eternal home takes away our fear. Life is in our spirit, not in our flesh. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:26) We live for eternal life, and not for our short fleshly life.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8) We are saved by faith, and we trust God’s will over our will. If we truly know God and his divine attributes; and if we know of his love for us, then we will trust the Lord more than we trust our self. If we have a close loving relationship with Christ, we will stop graving things of the world, and start graving the blessings of God that constantly feed our soul.
Love comes from knowing God and serving Christ; and knowing who we are. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) If really know this verse in our hearts, and we know of God’s perfect love for us, then our faith in Christ will reach new heights. And faith comes from Love. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) The greatest is love because love is what really connects us to God, because God is love. The more love we have for the Lord, knowing he is perfectly faithful, the more faith we will have.
Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) If we are not sure of our eternal life, we will fear physical death, but if we know Heaven is our home we live for eternity, with no fear.
Today seek to be closer to Christ, because as love increase fear decreases. Pray for the Spirit’s guidance for more love, because love connects us to the Lord. Remember love goes to the heart when you are guided to tell the world about salvation through Christ.
