The Lord Wants to Save You

Posted on

Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.

Isaiah 45:22

The Lord wants to save everyone because He wants to be with His people in Heaven where He will show His love and blessings more than anyone can imagine. He created humans to have freewill and He desires that His creation turn to Him to be saved. Satan fills peoples’ minds with many reasons not turn to God, such as: ‘I am comfortable in my life’, ‘I am a good person’, ‘reading the Bible is overwhelming’, and, ‘being saved is extremely difficult’. These are all lies from Satan.   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). The only way to be saved is to accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Jesus asked for another way while he was in the garden, but the Father said no and sent an angel to comfort him. If there was another way the Father would not have sent his Son to the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity.

Attending a Christ-centered, Bible-based church is a good first-step in learning about humanity’s relationship with God and why men and women have a broken relationship with Him. Repairing this relationship is what salvation is all about. From day one of accepting Christ, the Lord will guide you through life into eternity with Him. Believe in your heart, repent, and be baptized, and you will receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you (John 14:15-18). The Holy Spirit of God comes to live within a new Christian and is the seal or “deposit” of eternal life. The Holy Spirit molds a person to have the mind of Christ; this process continues for as long as a Christian lives on earth.

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Being active in a church family, reading the Word, praying, and telling others about Christ are the keys to spiritual growth. Doing these things enables us to experience life to the full, as Jesus promised: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10). The Lord desires to bless his people by pouring heaven into their souls through the Holy Spirit. The longer a person walks with the Lord, the more full that person’s life becomes, and the more love, peace, joy and security he or she experiences.

Today realize that the Lord loves you more than you can imagine. He wants to bless you in this life and bring you home to Heaven to live with Him. Ask Him to fill your soul with the hope of heaven so that you can be closer to the Lord than you are to the world.

Let’s Pray: Lord, thank you for your desire to save me and guide me through this life and into eternity with you. Help me to follow the Holy Spirit in serving you and to tell the world the good news of Jesus Christ. Lord, give rest to my soul and put peace in my heart as I walk confidently in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen
