Lord, Be With Me

Posted on

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

When we seek the Lord with all our heart, we totally trust and depend on the Lord.  Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (John 12:26)  If we live to follow the Spirit in serving the Lord, he promises to be with us, and the Father will honor the one who serves his Son.

The Lord is always with us when we serve him guided by the Spirit, but only if we trust and depend on him.  Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (John 15:5) As children of God, our most important calling in this life is to bear fruit, ministering to everyone, pointing them to Christ.  We cannot remain in Christ unless we truly depend on him and call on him with an undivided heart.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)The Lord is always with us, especially if we depend on the Spirit when ministering to others. He will guide our words, bring deep understanding of scripture, and reveal scriptures to our thoughts.

If we call on the Lord to be Christ-like in all actions such as driving, talking to others, and in our work, as we go through our days, he will be with us and guide in any and all situations. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) If we are still inside and seek the Spirit’s guidance, he will lead us in God’s truth as the Lord speaks to us through the Spirit.

Today depend on the Lord and know he is with you and is able to guide you to be Christ-like in every circumstance you encounter.  This means you will be in control through his power and love.  Ministering to others is powerful when they see you are in control, reflecting the Lord’s love, wisdom, and patience.

Prayer:  Lord let the Spirit always remind me that you are with me, and that I am always serving you with a heart of love. Thank you for being with me and guiding me through life to my eternal home with you and the Father. In Jesus name, Amen
